British scientists say they have found a way to stop the spread of malaria in a unique way, namely by creating mosquitoes that have no sperm. Researchers at London’s Imperial College said, they found that the female mosquito mating with a male mosquitoes whose genes have been changed, which does not remove sperm produce infertile eggs that do not produce offspring.

The scientists said the female mosquitoes mate only once in their lives and can not distinguish between males who can not produce sperm and the male that produces sperm. They say the gene has been modified mosquitoes could be the key to stopping malaria. Malaria is a disease that is quite vicious, which is spread through mosquitoes. The disease is estimated to kill 800 thousand people a year worldwide, mainly in Africa.

Do you have to take malaria pills since you are livng in thailand? If we move to India we’ll have to take malaria pills for us. chiang mai is considered malaria free. but much of thailand is not safe so if we venture out we do have to take them.

  2. Thanks for your site! I really appreciate what you’re providing here.
