The price is of course very expensive and broke the previous record price of farm animals. The previous record was printed in 1988, when it’s most expensive sheep is 90,000 euros or 127,800 U.S. dollars. Though the price of a normal ram on the market is only about 200 euros or 284 U.S. dollars only.

The ram was bought by a Scottish farmer, named Myfyr Evans, on Tuesday in the sale of the Northern Area Branch, held at the Agricultural Center Stirling, Scotland. These animals are descended from Suffolk, were found by Evans on his way to the agricultural exhibition in Kilkenny, Ireland a few weeks earlier. Apparently that’s what makes Evan meeting so interested to have a sheep.

Evans argues that the livestock will bring blessing on his ranch. Moreover, these men do want to develop the ranch. Meanwhile, from the knowledge of Evans’s wife who named Sue Evans is the price is somewhat surprising. However, she realizes her husband’s decision and approve it as a long term investment. By her calculations that one ram could produce 1000 lambs, with a total value of up to 1 million euros or 1.42 million U.S. dollars.

Until now the most expensive ram worldwide are yet to be named. Yet somehow, the transaction is really fantastic and fascinating world.
