The CEO of Blackberry manufacturer resign
This is a shocking news that comes from the company RIM (Research In Motion). Company which is the Blackberry manufacturer announced that two of their CEO resigned. Both the CEO is Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie.
According to news obtained from investors, they revealed that resignation of the CEO against the background desire to change the corporate strategy. In this recent time RIM can not compete with Apple and Google in running their business. Therefore there are several parties who suspect that it would also be one factor that caused them to resign.
Mike Lazaridis said that he and Balsillie have come to the founders of RIM and expressed their desire to resign. Furthermore, he also said that RIM is in need of change and now is the time to make that change.
Thorsten Heins
Lazaridis and Balsillie position will be replaced by Thorsten Heins, which previously served as Chief Operating Officer at RIM. Thorsten Heins started his career at RIM in 2007, previously he worked at Siemens Communications. While Mike Lazaridis will remain as deputy head of RIM, and Balsillie will keep working on the board of directors but does not have an operational role.
