Google launches search by image and voice search

Google has established itself as the number one search engine in the world. The latest breakthrough was recently launched by Google Inc. is search by image and voice search. The launch was conducted by Mike Cohen in his speech, as head of Google’s technology, in the Inside Search Event, in San Francisco, June 14, 2011.

Innovation in this search feature allows users to search the images through the Google search engine, using an image that they have. Quite easy, that can be done by uploading images, copy and paste the URL of the image and even just by drag and drop. The search will produce a similar picture across the entire site has been indexed by Google.

This feature is said to only be used on the official Google browser, which is Google Chrome. However, when tested in use in other browsers such as Firefox or Safari, this feature was also can used. The great thing is although there is a change in the image that used on the search, for example cut image or changed the picture quality or changed the type of image files, Google can still provide an accurate image search results.

Google voice search

Voice search is already available in the search engine Google’s mobile applications since 2008. With additional features to the computer, Google revealed as part of a strategy to bring innovation into the mobile Google desktop computer. Search performance in desktop computers sound is not much different from the performance in the smartphone.

Users can simply click the microphone button and speaking the terms. So the main requirement is the availability of this feature use the microphone on the user’s computer. Google voice search is only available in the official browser of Google, namely Google’s Chrome, by installing the google voice search pluggin in advance.

Cohen also noted that the revenue capacity of words on Google’s mobile increased by six times in the past year. Google voice search is already available in 27 languages and dialects, which is estimated to cover approximately five billion people or two thirds of the world’s population. Use of Google voice search is quite easy by using the button to the right of Google’s search field, which is an image microphones, after google voice search pluggin installed.
