Unique facts about Eskimos

As a tribe who live in cold regions at the north pole, Eskimo tribes have a custom or unique things they typical. The following are important notes about the unique things the Eskimos.

1. Hunt

This is the daily activities undertaken by the Eskimos. They hunt for food. In addition there are double benefits they get by hunting. Which utilize the results of their quarry animal skins to make clothing and also makes the tent.

2. Fishing

Other activities are also very interesting from an Eskimo tribe was when they were fishing. Fishing activities that they could do with a boat. However, the unique compared to regular fishing is their way of fishing by making a hole on top of frozen water. So the frozen sea ice is drilled, then they were fishing on the ice through the hole.

3. Parka

This equipment must be owned by one Eskimo tribe. Parka is a thick coat composed of two layers. Thick coat is very useful for survival in environments with extremely cold temperatures below zero degrees Celsius. Parka is useful to warm Eskimos, that is in normal condition.

4. Tipi

During summer, Eskimo tribe usually build a simple tent that is named tipi. Tipi is made from animal skin ravin. Animals are often taken the skin to the walls of the tipi is the caribou, which is a kind of deer antlers that have a typical Eskimo tribal areas.

5. Tattoo

Eskimo tribe is also synonymous with tattoos. Tattoos are used by the Eskimos as a sign. They make a tattoo using animal bones as needles and soot as ink. Because the tools they use are simple, the tattoos that they produce too modest, averaging just a line.
